FunFest tents overflow onto the sidewalk.
The door prize registration tent was busy all day.
The only way you could get a soft pretzel
was to register for door prizes.
There was plenty of free food and beverages.
The crew of hot dog chefs did a fantastic job.
The FunFest attracted people of all ages, adults…
people on bikes…
senior citizens…
families…
and kids…
little girls…
who love watermelon…
and little boys…
and big boys…
…who played games.
There were lots of kids…
of all sizes and ages!
There was plenty of time for good conversation…
…over a hot dog and soda.
Sometimes a break is a good thing!
The tables under the tents afforded the opportunity
to rest and chat with visitors and friends.
The games of skill were busy all afternoon.
Volunteers made everything run smoothly.
Fishing was a popular sport all day.
A young fisherman waits for a bite.
A weary volunteer rests during a lull at the fish pond.
Volunteers help cub scouts create spin art.
Time to check out what the art looks like.
A collection of spin art dries in the sun.
The Pucker Powder sticks were a hot item with the kids!
Children received coupons for playing games
that they could redeem for prizes.
There were so many great prizes that it was hard to pick
what you wanted!
There were games for the older kids, too.
There was a moon bounce to help the kids burn off
some of that seemingly endless energy they all seem to have.
Waiting in line for a turn on the moon bounce.
Karaoke was a big hit, with everyone
looking for their favorite tune to sing.
The singers sang…
…and the audience applauded.
There were cakes for the cake walk.
Everyone wanted to win a cake!
And there were lots of winners!
A winner carries away a prize cake.
A time-out occasionally can slow a guy down,
but not stop the fun!
